"Stabilizing and restoring the health of the housing market is critical to a broader economic recover, according to the white paper released yesterday by the Federal Reserve Board. Many of the issues and recommendations outlined in the paper support key principles established by the National Association of Realtors to help revitalize the housing industry and economy."
The paper called for increased lending to creditworthy home buyers and more loan modifications, mortgage refinancings, and short sales to reduce the rising inventory of foreclosed homes and help stablize and revitalize the housing industry; an approach long recommended by NAR - as well as every Broker working in our current industry.
Just yesterday while negotiating a purchase and sale with Carol Parker of Remax Eastside, she commented: "Forget what was normal" very true. Their is no set way , it is not uncommon for a buyer to find a home that completely matches their wish list and to write and offer of what their budget will afford. Note that the house may be completely out of their price range - But let us not forget that the Seller determines to except, reject or counter this offer. Let us not be worried or offended: Business is not about not liking the home its about Dollars and Cents.
